Celebrating the Greatness of My God

My heart craved for status in life when I first met him in 1984 and, with a smile, He began to break my heart with the things that break his own.

He made me aware of a world of enslavement, and He confronted my prejudices as He sent me to serve the sexually exploited young women and their children.

He made me aware of my own enslavements, and He confronted my own tainted motives, my addictive behaviours and selfish desires, while He taught about the meaning of community.

He made me aware of numerous fears that enslave many people, and He confronted my own vulnerable core issues when He guided me to identify with their pain.

I found that the Lord's lessons are timeless. Theyare timeless because through them He transformss our "cravings" into freedom - freedom that brings HIS peace into our hearts, so that our service to Him may provide and oasis of peace, not only for those we serve, but also to the troubled world in which He sends us to practice His ways.

It is filled with wonder and joy that I celebrate the greatness of my Lord!

I pray that many more people will desire to have their hearts broken by the things that break His own.
